Thank you very much for sharing, even though it’s the kind of news nobody wants to get. You worked hard to get that internship and all of us here can only wish you best of luck in pursuing other opportunities for now while hoping the closed path reopens for you in the future.
If you could share or hint which organization it was it’d be much appreciated, but totally fine if you don’t.
I was “selected to move forward in the hiring process” today. I’m surprised, since I figured the Agency was in a hiring freeze? I guess I’ll continue along, but not expecting it to pan out.
Good to hear, thanks for sharing and fingers crossed!
If you don’t mind, could you indicate just about where you are in the process (what stage) and hint at which organization? Totally fine if you don’t want to.
So finally an update on my end: my processing has been completed and HR will be reaching out once the EOD date is known. Might be weeks or months though so I’m not getting too excited. But good to know things are moving. Hope more people here will report some good news soon!

Don’t quit your current job and have a back up plan. Things change daily with this administration and it’s quite apparent that no government agency is immune!
Absolutely agree. I’m staying put, not allowing myself to get too excited, until I’m sitting at my new desk. And probably not even then, considering what’s going on. My current employer has just been re-awarded a contract so no need to rush out the door just yet.
