Anyone have the experience of taking their poly before investigation? Had a situation where I submitted SF86, and poly was scheduled for almost exactly a month later. Didn’t hear of any references being contacted or anything like that prior. I thought things usually worked the other way around? Anyone else with this experience?
There doesn’t seem to be any hard and fast rule here, but keep in mind that just because you have not yourself been contacted or heard from the people you listed doesn’t mean that the investigation hasn’t started.
The polygraph interview will probably include going over your statements on the SF-86 (or at least the same topics) but not necessarily what Jane or Joe told them about you.
Well, if you are speaking about MD Agency, then I can say that I took and passed my poly just shy of one month ago, and I just found out that two of my contacts have been reached out to today, so I guess yeah they can do the investigation after the polygraph. I honestly think they are prob handled independently
