Investigation case

dual nationality is an issue. Not reporting or misreporting required information is a discrepancy (and possibly an issue). Not all discrepancies are issues or vice versa.

OPM score 01 means you had some financial issues pop up. Be glad your score was not over 4 (the scale only goes to 9).

What if my score was over 4?

The higher the score — the more financial issues you have and Personal Conduct issue starts to rear its head.

Does Secret use the same guidelines as well?

Yes… they do use the same guidelines.

OPM Scoring =01 is for number of paying as agreed Trades = 012

Basically, this for 12 accounts ( most are closed and just a few accounts are open). Why and how should this qualify as a minor financial bump?

I have 6 school loan accounts.

How to I obtain my investigation case file?

What is the process of requeting your investigation report?

How long does it normally take?

No clue. I’ve never requested one.

  1. Submit the forms that are required to OPM.

  2. Your investigation case; As soon as your investigation is completed and sent to the adjudicators, OPM will start processing your investigation case file that will be sent to you.

  3. It takes 30-40 working days after step 2 above has been completed for it to be ready.

Advise: Call OPM twice every week to remind or ask about your investigation case file after step 2 has been completed.

I mean I can Goolge the OPM number but is there a certain thing I should be looking for, or department to call?

Call the number and follow the prompt.

Listen for investigation case status and make sure you speak with a person over the phone.

You should first send the forms to OPM and make sure you receive an acknowledgment from OPM that they have received your request form.

Will adjudication applied for an applicant who have been withdrawn sf-86P security clearance in August 30? Or, not.

Oct 1, My investigator called me and said "…Let we get a clearance for you…I didn’t finish my work… " following a list of additional questions from her end.
Oct 7. One of My references, she received a call from Investigator.
Oct 17. Agency responded “The process has been closed at our end. We reported it to the government day after you sent your email and the process was discontinued. I see no reason for them to be contacting any of your references in regards to this position, the process was terminated…”

How do I know whether the process/investigation is closed, stopped or completed? Really got confused at the process from my incidence. I feel like a fool

Investigation termination means no adjudication. It does not mean the application disappears nor the information already collected. You signed the release allowing the investigation.

You case is most likely discontinued (stopped) and closed (no longer being worked but not completed (missing field work and/or adjudication).

No DCSA field agent (federal or contractor) is going to waste their time on a discontinued case once they are notified… and everyone is notified at the same time.

By surfing the past history, I found the answer for the contact number.
This web site with tones of helpful information. Thanks a lot.

To an applicant who is new to a security clearance sf-85P, I felt like was being given a Pandora 's box till I find this web site. A key to resolve some puzzles and get some idea about the clearance process.

The confusing phrase from Agency “…waiting on adjudication…” responded to my withdrawal request on morning August 30. Until late, Sept. 26, Agency replied “We honored your request from 08/30/2019”. Numerous of calls still received from investigator.
