So the Feds get the holiday and some Government contractors. The “diverse and inclusive” contractors (SCIS) will NOT be giving their employees the day off. Consult with your supervisor as to not impact workloads. All talk.

Isn’t SCIS a wonderful contractor to work for? There are better.
CACI said they can’t give us a holiday because it isn’t in the contract.
It’s not in the contract but that doesn’t matter. What it’s also not in is their budget. That’s the real reason.

Government employees have it so hard they definitely need another day off. Maybe just add iit to getting paid in full for being off work after every shut down. Anyway…no worries contractors will clean up for them as usual. How about juneteenth bonus pay or day off for veterans?
