Has anyone else notice a significant decrease in work/case loads? I’m hearing rumors to expect major changes for field work.
I think work loads are decreasing because everything is being done remotely now and cases get completed quicker as a result.
I’m sure the hiring freeze plays a role in this as well
May I ask which contract you’re on bc I am swamped with work!
I actually came here to see if anyone was discussing this.
The “work loads are decreasing because everything is being done remotely now and cases get completed quicker as a result” is not an explanation because we’ve been doing remote for years now and the question is about a SIGNIFICANT DECREASE.
Over at my vendor company, we are being told that we are all just focused on getting out the older items first and they are holding off on assigning any new work. Mind you the “older items” are not even that old nor are we close to being as backlogged like we were many many years ago so I am watching keenly at the situation.
We probably work for the same vendor as we’ve been told we need to work the older cases. I get cases are closing faster now but we’ve always been told the backlog is huge, over 300,000 cases. So it just doesn’t seem feasible that has been burned through already.
Probably same vendor here too. I had newer, local work already assigned to me and they yanked it back and gave me older work in another state instead. Sounds like they made another unrealistic promise to DCSA.
The focus this month for the vendor I work is to close out older cases, I think it’s anything with an SD before 04/01.
I work all of them, DCSA, DHS, and all intels.
