Marrying Foreigner

I met this girl in her country and helped her with cash when she needed it and she ended up getting a student visa for the US.

Now she’s in the US and she wants to marry me. I have a Public Trust (moderate risk) and would like to know if I could lose my public trust if I marry her, due to my involvement with her before her visa process.

I would also let my security officer know of my marriage.

I would say its highly unlikely you will lose your public trust. Report her to your security office as you should and it should be fine.

Foreign influence concerns are not a part of the adjudicative factors for suitability or fitness to occupy a public trust position. It is not even a reportable item, unless the Agency you are sponsored/work for has specific guidance otherwise.
