So my security clearance trip started in May of 2018. The end of September, this year, I recieved a letter stating that I will need to see an appointed psychologist for final approval of a clearance.
I got a prior clearance from my Doctor back in 2018. She checked on a form that was sent to me in the brown paper. I was good to work in a field that requires a security clearance.
Question is why wait this long? Also why not trust my therapist? Appreciate the input.
The wait time may have not been on purpose, but just due to availability or backlog or something.
It’s also likely not about not trusting your therapist but it might just be company policy for them to do their own eval. It honestly depends on the agency/company you’re working with and all sorts of other details of your case.
