10 years ago I threw my bipolar sister out of the my Mom’s house.
My sister had been physically and verbally abusing my then 70 year old mother. My brother in law charged me with domestic abuse and of course did not inform me or give me a call. Being an honest Joe I turned myself in when I found out and I was ordered to take anger management.I was not incarcerated.
The charge and arrest against me were later expunged. Since this event is over 7 years ago do I have any chance of qualifying for a “secret” level security clearance?

Based on what you described the issue should be mitigated as long as no other recent similar behavior occurred. You still need to disclose it regardless of whether it was expunged.
