NACI to Public Trust

Hello, I started working after getting a NACI. I may apply for another job in the same organization but they say it is a public trust position with a sf85p I think.

What happens then? You have to file a whole new sf85p and go thru the background check process all over again?

What is the difference between a NACI with a sf85 and the public trust 85p?

Perhaps you could do your own research on this site and on OPM’s NBIB site, I am sure you will find information that will answer your questions. It will also give you a better understanding of the process and help you be better prepared.
