Hi, I currently hold a public trust and have been recently hired by another agency. I’ve had a recent arrest, DV (assault on family member). Case was nolle prosequi on prosecution’s motion w/o objection (class 1 misdemeanor). Will I be fired or not qualify for the Clerance???
No. They will let the court process work out and you need follow the requirements, counselings etc. Likely you are required to report this but I do not work with public trust positions at all. I would not recommend putting yourself in for a clearance until this is well behind you and you have 2 years of living clean to validate the trust required.
