Hi all — I’m filling out the SF-85 and just wanted to double-check whether a couple of minor situations from the past year fall under what’s considered “use,” “possession,” or “facilitation.” I’ve never smoked or used marijuana, but I’ve been around friends who do, and in the past year a few things happened that are making me overthink:
1. I was driving friends on a road trip and they asked to stop at a legal dispensary. I told them I wasn’t going inside and wouldn’t be using, and they were fine with that. I stayed in the car and didn’t touch anything.
2. On another occasion, a friend was rolling up and asked me to hold their bag of weed for a moment. I said I wasn’t smoking, and they were fine with that. At one point they asked me to open the bag (which I couldn’t even do), and then took it back.
3. A different time, someone handed me their joint to hold while they tied their shoe or went to the bathroom. I just held it for a few seconds and handed it back. I didn’t smoke or use it at all.
In all of these cases, I made clear I wasn’t participating. I didn’t buy, smoke, or encourage anyone else — just tried to stay out of the way without causing drama.
Do any of these rise to the level of something I should disclose under the SF-85 question about drug use/possession/supply in the last year? Or is this all considered incidental contact?
Thanks in advance — just trying to be thorough without raising unnecessary flags.
