NRO poly adjudication slow or something else?

Been 4+ months with no call-back or anything. When finished, the test admin said she didn’t think there was anything to be concerned about. My conspiracy demons are stirring…

More info: previous/retired FBI employee with more than 40 years with Secret+ clearance (mostly TS+) been through 5 or more polys. Just flustered.

Normally, if you don’t pass the polygraph, the operator will make that clear before you leave the polygraph suite. So the statement that she didn’t think there was anything to be concerned about is quite positive. It suggests that you passed.

Typically, there is a “quality control” review of polygraph charts where it’s possible that a reviewer will overturn the original polygrapher’s decision. This typically happens within days, not months. You might want to reach out to your point of contact for this job and ask for a status report.

Thanks, good to know. Appreciate your comments.

I knew a guy who worked for an NRO contractor. Got the call to come in for a poly (periodic update kind of thing) so he went in, everything went fine.

A few months later, his boss tells him, I was going to put you on this job, but apparently you didn’t pass that poly…

???

Never had his access pulled, never contacted to come back for antoher try, nothing at all until they put his name in for some kind of special program… and THEN they got the word.

Doesnt exactly address your question but it may be indicative of “how they roll”

Thanks. 4+ months seems excessive to me. My company also mentioned they were keen to getting me in there ASAP. If this is ASAP :unamused:

Hello notcool, I got a job with the NRO as a contractor. Did the asF 86 Feb 23 and Poly Marc 23 no call back from ploy. The huy doing the poly told me everything was fine and I lefts aftwr 4 hours. So I have been in adjudication since April 23. To toughest part is the waiting and not getting paid is a strain on my finances and stress. Im very careful with my money, but this wait is very stressful and tight on finances. So, how long did you wait before work and approval.

Thanks

Hi Saiyuki. Sounds like an NRO thing. I haven’t been waiting quite as long as you but at least I am still working elsewhere.
