I’m looking for advice on security clearance processing for an IC agency. I received a COE in 2014, submitted my SF 86, and received notification that they would start the background investigation early 2015. I didn’t hear from them until the background investigator contacted me for security interview until July 2016. It seems they’ve been conducting the BI for the rest of 2016. I’ve been checking on my status with my HR POC and the response that I’ve gotten is “You are still active for suitability processing.” I still haven’t done the poly or medical interview. It’s been a year now since I was notified by the investigator. Would anyone be able to shed some light on what’s happening to my clearance Processing? Is there anything that I can do to get it moving? I would appreciate some insight. Thank you!
