Hi I’m a federal librarian who works with disabled people. I have been in the job 10 yrs and had to do a public trust in March. I was told I had to settle debt that had gone into collections, I had been trying to deal with it since serious illness in 2019. I settled what was left in March and sent all the information aka receipts on how each debt was settled and why I was in debt. It’s been two months and I’ve heard nothing. Does anyone know what would be normal in this situation? I work for the legislative branch. Thank you. Just can’t sleep at night since this all started. I take care of my mom who is 90 and am afraid I’ll lose my job.

Two months isnt that long in the fed world. You could ask you PERSEC Mgr or SO who handles your clearance and see if DISS has been updated to reflect your credit issues. Good luck!
