So the other day I was adjudicated for secret eligibility. Meaning I dont actually have a secret clearance. Well today I was asked to read and sign a sf-312. My understanding is that since I signed that non disclosure, I now have a clearance and should say so in JPAS. Am I correct about that?

Unless you are now working in the position, you are in the eligible status since you have not occupied the position yet. Once you start working, JPAS should reflect that you have active “clearance.”
Yes you do have a clearance because you wouldn’t be asked to read and sign a sf-312 unless you were actually working in a position that required you to do so. If you want a definitive answer you should probably contact your security officer for confirmation.
