So I got out of the army in late 2019 with a recently adjudicated TS clearance, but ended up taking a job that is technically Secret but needed the TS investigation. Question is, do I put Secret or TS on my profile here since my background investigation is still valid till 2024? Right now I listed secret since that is what my job requires, but I added a note about the TS SSBI.
That should be OK. It will be up to a potential employer to figure out if that is good enough for their particular customer. In this case, it is the investigation, not the current clearance, that you’re trying to highlight. If you have the exact date that the investigation completed (not adjudication) that might also help.
