Security clearance with very old Juvenile record in1979

Looking for one last job before I retire and have a very old Juvenile record, and some of the jobs require a security clearance. Problem is, I was arrested as a kid, under 18, for breaking into a garage used for storage and burning down a shed. Two separate occasions. I don’t remember the details of either one as far as specific charges went. Each incident carried more than one charge, and each one was pleaded down to a lesser charge. Problem is, I don’t remember exactly what the final charges were. Maybe one of them was criminal mischief and the other something similar. I don’t even remember if the final charges were misdemeanors or felonies? I’m not sure where I could even get that information at?

Any help would be appreciated!

You can pull your own record with the court and get all that information.

On another note, you do realize getting a clearance takes a lllllooonnnnnngg time? Not sure how long you plan to go before retiring, but it’s possible you might end up retiring before you get adjudicated.

One of the two Companies I have been interviewing with said they have been getting fast tracked at 3-4 months. I don’t have a clue if that is fast or not. I will most likely work another 4 years.

Thanks!
