SF-86 Update - Foreign Contacts

CJ Forum,

I am currently eligible for SCI and updating my SF-86-C to be read-in for SCI access and had a question if I should include a foreign relative, my uncle (1st cousin’s father) who lives overseas now who I haven’t see since or have been in contact with the 80’s/90’s.

My cousin frequently communicates with him as her father but I have no contact with him. Through her we are planning to visit him overseas within the next few years.

She has not seen her father since since was born and I want to escort her overseas since this is her first time traveling abroad.

Should I include him on the SF-86-C now for good measures or at the time once I know for certain our travel arrangements.

The question on the SF86 ask for foreign contacts in the past “7” years. Based on your post, there would be no need to list your uncle. There is also no need to list future foreign contacts, travel, etc… If they are developed at a later date, there is probably a procedure in place with the employer to report them to the security officer.
