SOR appeal process

So I found out I was just denied a clearance and my recruiter said it should be about a month until I get my SOR. So since it was the CIA from what I’ve read on here it sounds like I can appeal but it will take months maybe years to get a response and a court date. Should I just try and apply someplace else once I know why I was denied?

To answer your last question, YES! Always apply to other jobs and keep all options open. Cleared jobs are never guaranteed.

Keep in mind that when you appeal a security clearance denial, many agencies will not bother to process you for a new clearance while your appeal is in process. Appeals can take two years. This is not a hard rule but it is the case in the IC and DoD I believe, other agencies may vary.

Can you post your CIA timeline of events (application, interview, conditional offer, SF86, security interviews, poly, psych, med, rejection letter, etc.)? These timelines help the rest of us on here who are still in the dark about our status.
