Start date Perspecta

Oh wow, ok.
That sounds great! I’ll definitely apply.
Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you.
Oh gee! I hope you don’t have to go through the same thing.

My adjudication was done in March 2019 but haven’t heard from training department yet. Got a hold of recruiter who quietly told me they were re-evaluating positions, so several might be in the same situation. How did they notify you that you no longer had a position and how long did it take until you received that notice? Curious if I should start looking elsewhere.

Hi Steve,

I received an email from the recruiter last week. Most of the communication was via email.
Hopefully, you won’t have to wait longer.

Hi Steve, I was also notified by email, this week, that my offer is rescinded. I received my favorable adjudication in November. It sounds like they are making decisions now though so hopefully you will hear something either way soon. Hopefully you will get good news. Best of luck.

Just out of curiosity did they offer you other BI positions in other states and offer to release you from any further obligations to them (i.e. pay cost of investigation)?

Nothing was offered in the email; however, previously, back in October, it was offered to apply for other BI positions. But I explained that I couldn’t move because of my children.
Yes, they offered to fully release me from the financial obligation.

just released from the financial obligation

My letter did. Could transfer, released w/ no obligation or I could continue and wait for things to pick up and training classes to start again which might be in 4 to 6 months but no exact dates etc.

I got an email Friday. I had 3 options. Relocate, be released or I can wait for them to start training up again which they can’t give a date but said anywhere from 4 to 6 months.

What area did Perspecta ask you to relocate?

I received an email also, piggy backing from SteveG. Locations were California, Colorado, Oregon, Missouri, Illinois, Louisiana, NYC. The email made it clear that were not assisting with relocation expenses. A few cities had a higher starting wage but considering the cost of living, it would not have been worth it.

Thank you for giving this “newby” real info as opposed to disgruntled employee garbage

There is always truth behind a disgruntled employees opinion. While they might overdue certain parts of their opinion, it is generally a good idea of what to expect.

Doing the background job is tedious, long hours, lots of driving and people who don’t want to talk to you. There are good people who are willing to talk too. Overall, for me, the negatives outweighed the positives.

Consider joining and attending the ACBI Conference in Nov. in Potomac, MD.

I think it’s interesting that we all received similar letters. They were very vague in my letter with no estimates whatsoever. I did some research and responded with interest in two of those locations. I wanted just very basic information… residency requirements, proposed starting dates, training dates, timeline to move, etc., and guess what I heard. Well, after you choose one of those locations we will have to let Perspecta know of your choice and IF that location is still available then we will get back to you. It was just more and more vague garbage from Advanced RPO, Perspecta’s head hunter. These people from Perspecta and Advanced RPO are just lying scum that mislead people and lie to people every single day.

I did confirm from the local NBIB investigator that things were slower at the moment and so that was the only fact that they were honest about but beyond that these other jobs probably don’t exist. I finally got my investigation favorably adjudicated but I’m looking for jobs far away from this horrible horrible company.

They honestly don’t know. They have to keep their current hourly employees employed. The contractors and the 1Force contractors are the ones who will go first.

So there may be jobs that they need people at, but they may offer them to their current employees first.

Until the contracts are awarded and workload determined, they can’t say yes or no.

I will say when I was hired, there were no lies, they were completely honest with me.

That’s sad to hear and not fair to all of us who favorably waited.

Yeah it’s really not the companies. This is what happens when the government changes up. It will pick up again, but we have to be patient

I’m in California and they said I could relocate to the East coast. NY, Chicago and a few others.
Meanwhile I have seen a lot of other companies hiring in SoCal now and I am in talks with one now and they appear to be moving fast. I think some are taking advantage of the mess up st Perspecta and hiring those that have a TS clearance. So might work out after all.
