Last i heard my background investigation for my secret clearance was returned to HR, and they are waiting for interim to be granted or denied. My former supervisor on the same day received an employment verification form in the mail from OPM. My other supervisors have received nothing at all. Everytime I call opm fis tells me its pending investigation. What does all this mean?

Mine is in the same position… I mail my FSO to see if they could get more information or push it along as I have been pending since Feb 2017. Still will have to await adjudication but that’s better then Sutton gin the pending status.
As far as anything else good luck… it really is all about the Wait…!!
Same here feb 2017, i spoke to my soon to be supervisor. I was told they are going to try get the security officer to issue my interim today through the agency. Can the local agency grant the interim vs waiting for DoD CAF?
