the IC community (3-letter agencies) use a database called Scattered Castles (SC) while DCSA / DoD uses the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). The contractor I work for currently can not see any of my 3-letter security paperwork / investigation stuff on my DISS portal. Not entirely sure what the process is for the two systems to pull data from the other but it is not an automatic process as far as I am aware

I donāt think NSA routinely updates JPAS/DISS/whatever with clearance information for its civilian employees; not sure about contractors. At any rate they almost certainly do not update info for staff applicants.
A contractor with NSA connections might be able to see the investigation but it would need to be adjudicated through the contractor path which (at least as of a few years ago) was a separate path.
Welp, got the dreaded email today. āWe are no longer filling the position you applied forā¦CJO pulled blah blah blahā. Anyone have guidance on what to do next? Recommendations on contractors that will sponsor the clearance? Exp in collection and IA. Thanks in advance.
I feel bad every time my manager checks with me about my clearance, and all I can say is ānope, silenceā.

yeah, i just want to know if the position was filled/cancelled, or if I was denied clearance or something. Maybe a slight chance its an error, somebody elsewhere told me it happened to them and they ended up getting fjo. Emailed recruiter but of course I have to wait the entire weekend.
Message recruiter tbh maybe he/she will have some more info

What does your status say in the portal for the job? Does it mention anything specific? Mine now says: Thank you for applying. You were not selected for this position.
Same question for you, did your candidate portal say anything for that job posting? Or was it just via your recruiter that you found out?
From what I have heard, they will flat out tell you if it is a security/suitability issue. It really could be that they filled the position.

That sucks. Hopefully itās a mistake. On my portal it still says Iām processing for the job. So thereās a good chance the portal is just wrong.

Im hoping so, i have asked in other places besides on this site and a few people told me they received the same status in the portal but got the job. Stupid portal.
