Timeline 2024 Thread

The email from my recruiter said the job was no longer available (whatever that means) . Hopefully your recruiter can give you some type of clarification.

Mine is still in the security processing step, even though I’ve been told I’m a cleared candidate.

My portal says I’m not considered but that was due to some communication issue I had back in May with the security processing team that led to a denial but was already fixed. I am still in continuous contact with my recruiter and she says I am still actively processing. I also continuously email the security team for updates and they respond to me. My recruiter said don’t worry about the portal because it’s not really updated properly and will let me know if anything changes but currently I am still actively processing. I say whoever you are communicating with, talk to them and give it a few days for their response.

I think there’s a lot of ā€œfakeā€ job listings, meaning they already have someone pegged for the position but are required by policy to post the job anyway. Happens a lot where I am.

UPDATE: I am in the cleared job space.

I understand that for corporate america where they arent investing money into clearances, but doesn’t make sense to me in this space. Then again nothing should surprise me when it comes to the government.

Hope you get some clarification this week, @RandomMan

Did they say why you would have gotten that message?

nope, i got that one-line response. Frustrating but I guess I just gotta roll with it.

Yea, gotta take what you can get at this point.

No I did not because I never did the poly or psych eval. Waited 17 months for them to go through my SF-86 lol. Timeline was posted above, and the career field was for Collection.

17 months is insane. Was this for the NSA?

I’m at 40 months. And yes, for NSA

40 months! I feel bad for complaining about 9 months.

40 months? Have you confirmed with your recruiter that you’re still processing? That seems anomalous.

Yes. I get regular emails from my recruiter and congressional office.
