Timeline 2024 Thread

One of us! One of us!

I got time. The family doesn’t want to move just yet and I have a great job currently. I guess I am lucky in that aspect.

That’s the best way to look for a job. While you’re working. You should never go looking for a job when you need one if you can avoid that (of course, sometimes you can’t avoid it).

Congrats! How far out are you starting? Were they both similar offers in terms of grade/step?

Appreciate you! I hope you and everyone on here that I have talked to, gets great news asap. I’m probably gonna hang around and see how everyone else progresses.

I heard from someone that got FJO from Fort Meade, thats not on here, that recently picked an EOD and the earliest was January. So i think everyone still waiting will be onboarding no earlier than that at this point.

timeline? rip to me :sleepy:

From what I recall, they got CJO in May, finished security processing early September and then a few weeks later got the FJO. Super quick turnaround on that, unlike the rest of us…Hoping you get good news soon! Hang in there.

My recruiter told me that from day of FJO to start, it wouldn’t be less than 60 days.

Hey, it’s me the guy that @RandomMan is talking about. I received notification that I was cleared late September, and earliest EOD was January.

Mainly your FSO would be the one to answer any security-related questions. I have a clearance process w/ DCSA right now through my company (govvie contractor) and my FSO/other security team members have access to my DISS portal… not sure why yours would not.

Trying to match these things up is almost impossible, especially when a clearance is involved. If your investigator told you about 30-60 days then that is likely their timeline to finish their portion. It will still have to go through adjudication.

It is never a bad idea to let those people know that you will be unavailable to speak, but likely your investigator won’t reach back out unless they run into issues/discrepancies that need to be addressed.

Your hiring agency should have a security office that is able to check certain things. I am unsure if they are able to check where it is at currently though, maybe just that an investigation is pending. You should be asking the organization. Some organizations have you contact recruiters and they are unable to see these things, they just get told when things are done.

They don’t do STEM pay? It has been a big nut roll getting that going and as you note, if you get STEM you lose locality pay which has some people irked :money_mouth_face:
