After four years, my CJO was rescinded.
I received a CJO for a STEM job at the NSA in June 2021.
I had no SI, no psych, and no poly.

Jun 2021: Submitted SF86
Jul 2021: More info requested

2022: No news

2023: My recruiter said the delay was due to foreign contacts.
I made a congressional inquiry.

2024: No news

Aug 2025: My offer was rescinded because of the hiring freeze

Man that is rough. Did the ever complete your back ground investigation? Or was is still going on.

Anyone hear any movement from NSA this year?

A college friend I know of received an internship offer at the MD agency and has been moving along through the process.

Where’s he at? I’m waiting for my FJO fingers crossed soon

That is a load of crap. You submitted your SF86 and it took four years for the government to determine you were not suitable because of your foreign contacts. For that agency, the recruiter is not privy to the information why your CJO was rescinded. In order to find out why your offer was rescinded, you have to file a request.

You having foreign contacts was probably just an excuse. Since your process took over 4 years, the agency probably did not want to keep processing you anymore since your application was so old. Your application was most likely passed around and forgotten about until someone picked it up.

Same agency you mentioned

No determination was made. I am not suitable and I am not unsuitable.

Sorry I meant to ask where he’s at in the process.

Apologies, I believe his BI is underway now, and the suitability items (poly) are scheduled later this month.

Where are you at in the process?

A no determination made is the government’s way of closing a case without granting or denying a security clearance. This was not a suitability rejection. The government did not want to keep processing your application and they decided to close the case out. In your recession letter, was there a time frame saying how long before could you reapply?

Anyone have any updated time line for TS/SCI, I am currently going at 8 months. BI was complete 2.5 months ago, so not sure where I am now.

First time? On average, you probably have a few more months.
