My current S clearance is not active, as in I do not work in a position currently that requires one but my employer put me in for the clearance for future job openings. Since my clearance is inactive but still valid as I received it two weeks ago, what happens to it if I leave my current employer? Can another employer pick it up and activate it for a cleared position?
