Would a BI leave a voicemail?

I’ve knocked out all processing except for the background investigation interview. Going for a TS/SCI with an IC agency.

I recently read that phone interviews are now an option to help relieve the backlog. I am just curious, would an investigator leave a voicemail, if I missed their call? For an interview, or even to schedule an interview?

My number is a few digits off an animal control number within my state… So I get random calls ALL the time. I do try to answer them now that I am processing, but I am worried I will miss a call, and have no idea if it were another wrong number situation (no I wont help you capture the rabid raccoon in your backyard), or the investigator trying to speak/schedule something. Heck, just had a call yesterday from Hawaii, but I missed it. No idea what that one would have been about.

I don’t typically call the numbers back if missed for the reasons mentioned above, I am just worried I will miss the call, and the investigator will move on to continue working on someone whose more easily contactable.

They will leave a message provided that you (a) actually have your voicemail set up and (b) your mailbox is not full. Make sure both of those are in good shape and you’ll be fine.

After I first made contact with BI he asked if texting was fine with me and that made things so much easier I think. Didn’t have to worried about missed calls or getting away from something real quick to answer phone.

That is awesome, texting is great in my book. I think I may be one of those cases where it takes many, many months to get to that portion of my processing, but I just wanted to be prepared, and get rid of the “I missed a call, did I miss my moment?” type feeling, lol.
