10 Months in Investigation Phase — General Timeline Question

Hi all,

I’ve been in the background investigation process for about 10 months now. I completed my polygraph and PSI earlier in the process and have not been scheduled for a re-polygraph. My references and some employers have been contacted.

There have been no new issues raised since then.

I understand timelines vary widely, but I was wondering if the lack of a re-polygraph and continued progression is generally considered neutral, positive, or meaningless in terms of eventual outcome.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Typically the polygraph examiner will say something at the end. Some possibilities are:

“You did great, this still has to be reviewed but I dont see any problems”

“I don’t know, we’ll have to see”

“Yeah, you’re going to need to come back”

They rank from best to worst.

Hard to say at this point but as I like to say, you’re still in the game.
