I was submitted for a secret when I got my job back in october of 2021. The company messed up and had me resubmit. I had heard literally nothing until april last year when I was asked to sign a release of info. Silence again. I call my security team and it has been in adjudication 4 times atleast. Still no movement. No interview. No interim. Should I seek congressional inquiry? I have no spicy background. Only thing I can think of is light mental health background. Maybe just fallen through the cracks.

Some people have reported success through congressional action, even if just to get some additional information. If this were five years ago, waiting two years was not unheard of, even for a secret clearance, but today it is definitely unusual.
