Called in for another interview for "additional information"

Pretty much title, I got notified a few days ago that I was being called in for another in-person interview they estimated would last about four hours for additional information. I’m reasonably certain I’m in adjudication at this point as my main investigator submitted my packet. Anyone know if this is good news? Bad news? What it’s likely to be about?

This is for a TS in an IC position.

Edit: Psych/poly was several months ago if that makes any difference.

im in the same boat my dude. fingers crossed for us lol

It makes me feel weirdly a lot better knowing other people are in the same boat lol.

I found an old reddit thread saying it’s probably about questions we struggled with on the poly, and if this goes well clearance should follow in a few weeks.

Fingers crossed for us!

It sounds like just an additional security interview. Maybe they just need some clarification on some things. Definitely not bad news, they wouldnt call you back and meet with you if it was bad news, imo.

Did you report any significant foreign contacts? I’ve heard of people getting called in for an additional interview for that situation.

You may be correct about being in adjudication; it could be that the adjudicator requested some additional info, and that request led to this interview.

I reported a few but I haven’t spoken to any of them in years.

Guess I’ll find out when I go in. Just going to try and stay positive because like @RandomMan said they wouldn’t be going through the time/effort of actually speaking to me if it was bad news.

It is also a positive sign in that it shows that somebody is looking at your case, and its not stuck in some digital version of fell-behind-the-file-cabinet

If they found a problem, they would simply eliminate you. SOR. That they are calling you in…sounds like adjudication and they just need clarify something. You are in the best position to know what it is. Scrub finances, did you miss a bill? Pay it, bring copies of correspondence and any proof. Had several employees. Many several actually, lol. I would get the very nervous employee comfortable enough to discuss, I would have them put all relevant material in folders, tab it…and offer it when you get there. This was always spot on and the adjudicator was very happy to get conclusive proof the situation was handled.

I’m thinking it might be about my poly. One section I didn’t “clear” according to my examiner, but I wasn’t sure if that really meant I didn’t pass or they were just playing head games. I don’t think its bills/finances, I have a lot of student loans but I’m current on everything and have never even had a late payment. Guess I’ll find out when I go in.
