Good luck with IT hell!
@fed-investigator … in the 9th circle of it.
Good luck all! Interview coming up for me! ![]()
@looking4help…. So I’m assuming we’re gonna be in the same academy class? (If I’m ready you correctly— that you haven’t started yet)
Any insight when the training class begins? I completed an interview with the SAC today. They said they will be calling my current and past supervisors. Anybody else playing the “waiting game”?
Hold tight. Interviewing supervisors is just another step in the right direction, does not mean you made the final cut.
You also have to go through the background process.
This is a long process, waiting sucks but try not to go crazy.
If it makes you feel better, DEA took three years to offer me a position that I had to turn down due to life circumstances. At least we are faster than that.
Hampton Roads area. How about you?
Wow, three years! A lot of life events can happen in three years.
I’m already cleared so hopefully that will make the process a little shorter!
Best of Luck to you as well! Positive vibes sent your way!
Be hopeful, you are at the end, just know that nothing is final until the offer is in hand.
Yep, I was quite gutted as I really wanted the position but that’s life.
Got the final offer! Arizona.
FYSA: “Vet preference” only applies to veterans who meet the qualifications of the job, whether by work experience, or, if applicable, education, or both.
Veterans don’t get jobs simply because they are a veteran.
I’m a non-vet, didn’t have a clearance. Don’t lose hope, keep applying. I wasn’t referred or selected a few times before being fortunate enough to get an offer.
I’ve heard it takes a long time as well. Not sure why as the hiring manager must submit up to HR. HR then reaches out to the candidates.
Just completed my interview last week, really curious to see how long till I’m notified…
Welcome to the waiting game! I interviewed on 3/22 and my references were called last week. What area did you interview for?
Boston area, did they let you know references were to be contacted or have your references made you aware?
Both. During the interview, the SAC confirmed contact information for my references. 2 of the 3 references I listed told me they were contacted.
Interesting, I actually don’t have references listed on my resume besides current and past supervisors which may be the case.
