They said that they are not closing out the application yet so there is a chance in the future that it may get reinstated, but personally, I’m going to just move on and not hold out much hope. Yes, this is for MD agency.
Hopefully not, fingers crossed!
Awful, really sorry. Nobody is safe it appears. Especially at that agency right now.
I know. I’m trying to stay positive. I saw the candidate shuttle again today and was thinking if they’re still processing people (can’t be all contractors, right?), maybe they would just keep us on hold for some time like you indicated earlier, as opposed to rescinding offers altogether. That would make at least some kind of sense.
There are still orientation classes happening, although I’m told they are less in size than mine was.
I’m wondering if those are all EODs that were scheduled last year or whether someone got an EOD under the new administration and actually onboarded this year
I’m almost positive some have been EOD’s hired during the new admin. I was given a 2 week option for one of my EOD dates lol. I was like yeah im gonna need more time than that. But they give you several, several dates ranging from almost immediate, to several months out.
At least that was my experience. Being as we are now a couple months since inauguration day, I would be shocked if they have been all of last years EOD’s still.
Very good know. Thank you so much for sharing!
MD HR called me and rescinded me today. EOD in May. Said he was going month by month and calling people to rescind offers.
I’d like to know the names of the people who signed off on your final job offer and clearance. If this is a serious post, you had no business getting anywhere near national security information.
I heard that onboarding stopped completely? Do they onboard contractors in these classes too?
Same here. I originally had an April date but pushed back to end of June for personal reasons. Either way it wouldn’t have mattered, but that far out and canceling now does not look good.
I think it has more to do with processing people in the order of their offers. Maybe everyone just gets bumped back 3 months and we are all fine. Or maybe not
Contractors being read in would be hired onto contracts that are already paid. Contractors have yet to be effected by this, as far as I know - Current MD contractor
I know I’m referring to there still being onboarding classes. Was not sure if y’all have to actually do the class
Last I saw (about 2 weeks ago), contractor indoc is still active. Let’s hope it stays that way
I worked in a corporate environment for many years. On a few occasions I would be called into the office and told my project is closing, today is your last day. I wouldn’t think 2 seconds to quit on the same day and give the company as much consideration as they gave me.
There is a bunch to this though as well. Some may not get offers again if they decide to cut down that career field. They may determine some things (like public affairs and such) are not necessary for what they have the money for right now.
No, staff only. No idea how contractors get onboarded.
Sorry are we talking VA or MD?
