Investigations can take years. There is no two week time limit.

I interviewed someone back in February. Pretty straight forward case with no major issues. I just got a call from them last week because they were concerned that they still have not received any word on their clearance and their employer was starting to become annoyed. I wish I could have given them a better answer other than “I don’t know.”
