Anyone get work with this vendor currently or prior to the shutdown?

No. Paragon has been very quiet and only feeding work to their favorites and I’m not one of them apparently. I don’t expect things to get much better even when the shutdown eventually ends. We are all in for rough and troubled waters in this industry.

One case every week. But yet CANDA is still hiring Investigators

this just seems crazy to me considering how backed up pending and ongoing investigations seem to be
Cases aren’t backed up at all. There’s more investigators than cases.

Paragon did lay off last week to some of their full time staff. It’s highly unlikely they will be giving work to 1099s if they don’t have enough for their full timers. Rough times right now.

I think you may be confusing Paragon with Peraton. I don’t believe Paragon has any FT investigators any longer; only FT managers/support staff. They are pretty much all 1099 I believe.

So I’ve been hearing rumors that Paragon is losing their contract with Canda. At first I thought it wasn’t true but it keeps circulating. I actually had a Canda FT employee contact me that Paragon is gone at the end of the year. Has anyone else heard this?

Did you mean CACI not Canda? Canda is paragon.
Paragon is a sub contractor under CANDA

Yes correct, but it’s my understanding that Paragon created Canda as a small business so it can get work from CACI. I was just wondering since Canda is pretty much Paragon how was Paragon losing the contract from itself? How many investigators are under Canda?
I may be mistaken, but I think paragon has 1099 and Canda has employee investigators.

Yes that is correct. CANDA is full time FIs and Paragon is 1099 for CANDA.
