Secret Clearance delay

I recently got an email from the Central Adjudication Facility saying:
“The investigation for Subject has been placed in suspense pending further investigation items from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).”

I have already received my interim clearance and I’m waiting for my secret clearance. Can anyone explain this to me? Does this mean my clearance has been denied? I have nothing on my record that requires further investigation besides international travel.

It means that one or more of the required items needed to close the investigation have not been completed yet for some reason and OPM was not able to meet its suspense date. It does not necessarily mean there are any issues with the case.
