For background information, I was previously working at a secret clearance role 13 months ago and recently got a new sponsor. I previously got fired for mis-charging time when the program didn’t have any work and have since then corrected the behavior. My current sf-86 is completely clean and my investigation of 5 years should still be ready for use, except when the FSO did a background check on me, it says my eligibility is None and the state of my clearance can’t be determined, as an investigation got cancelled in 2025. So my only completed investigation is from 2022.
My question is, what should I expect out of the re-sponsorship process, if it happens, and how long will it take? Will I be granted an interim since I have a clean 2022 investigation and sf-86 record, or will they most certainly ask me for a new one?
