Applied to 3 letter in november 2023 and was told I was accepted for the position in August. I got a CJO shortly after, but now they just messaged me saying they have discontinued my processing saying that it was due to changes in the fiscal year.

They seemed to move so slowly, and it wasn’t until I kept reminding them about my application that I seemed to move forward. It’s no surprise they have a hard time finding talent when mountains of bureaucracy and incompetency prevent any sort of smooth hiring process.

Anyone else have any sort of similar experience? Just needed to vent here.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are lots of changes right now with preparations for the new administration. Everyone is expecting big cuts are coming soon.

What step in the process were you at?

Change is coming with the new administration good or bad (probably bad) and I can’t imagine any government agency is hiring anyone right now with the threats of schedule F on the horizon.
