Ok, I’ve been out of the service for 10 years in Aug. Looking into getting back into the game private side. I have nothing but prior experience. Have found a decent amount of jobs I qualify for with one tiny exception… clearance. Any tips, suggestions, info, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If interested in working on classified material, look up the current SF86. Go over your life for the past 10 years with a fine tooth comb. If you see no issues whatsoever, and your credit is above 650, no recreational drug use, no terminations, excessive foreign travel or connections…no arrests…then you likely will be clearable. But you need find an agency with positions lining up with your experience, and get through the hiring decision first.
