I recently accepted a position with Northrop Grumman that requires me to obtain a secret security clearance after I officially start the position. Typically how long into my employment with the company will they submit me for a clearance? 90 days?
I suspect that they will want to submit you ASAP. The first or second week? Unless they have plenty of unclassified work to keep you busy until you clear. Keep in mind that this could easily be a 12 to 18 month process.
The good thing is you have time to start collecting your SCA information. Read the posts about being thorough and reading through every question and not skipping sentences. Be honest and thorough.
