Congratulations! Pay attention to all those lengthy equip questions because they are the ones you will become very familiar with in the future. The physical location and address location details and sections are particularly confusing. All of the sections are full of all sorts of nuanced questions that can drive you crazy if you let it. Don’t let it. Remember that everyone has a different version of accuracy and correctness and take your time and fill it out to the best of your ability. Make sure to keep a copy for your records and guard it safely. It will be full of your PII. This field needs more eager diligent excited public servants such as yourself. Good Luck.

Thank you very much! I look forward to the challenge. 10 days to get everything done… should be fun (insert sarcasm here)

10 days! Plenty of time.

I do have kind of a dumb question.

May I schedule my fingerprints before starting the e-qip, so that I can get that out of the way first?

That is entirely up to your personnel security unit. You need to email the person who emailed you your e-QIP initiation.

Ok… fair enough. I’ll reach out first thing in the morning.

Thank you!

The fingerprints are separate from the eQip. Get them done right away.

as for the eQip - I hope you have already started gathering the information, don’t wait to the last minute where you have to list a lot “i don’t know” as that will delay your case.

Yes, I have a lot of information gathered. I think I should be good in that regard. :crossed_fingers:t5:

And it’s good to hear that I can get the fingerprints done asap. I’ll schedule it first thing in the morning… along with sending a copy of my passport.

Thank you!

Update:

Fingerprinting was completed this afternoon and my e-qip is completed, but gonna take the next couple of days to review it and review some more before submitting.

Anyone get an interim by chance?

Or

“Fast tracked…”?

process used to be for investigators, no interim until you’ve had your Subject interview and all the NACs were completed. I don’t know if that has changed.

Ok… the wait begins. Just happy to be even at this point.

(Posting being made in jest to keep the thread alive…lol)

Update:

Waiting on subject interview after submitting
e-qip.

Update within an update:

Just received a call to have my subject interview this Friday.

Firm offer accepted. EOD in January. Thanks to all that helped me through the process.

@backgdinvestigator, I guess, I thought your question required a non specific location or response…lol.

Either way, thank you very much!!!

Your response was fine. I was curious about the area you were going to.
