Contract rebid Summer 2022?

Paragon is claiming it was a “pre-award protest” because their proposal wasn’t fairly evaluated during the evaluation phase and they wanted to preemptively address it prior to the actual decision. Who knows how truthful that is.

Same here. I’ve only been back working for paragon for 6 months. Not sure what happens from here.

Just to make it even more messy, the protest can be denied or cause the entire rebid procedure to start again.

I can guarantee that is NOT true. Peraton has no teaming agreement with Paragon and never has. Their focus is hiring employees and Small Business which Paragon is not.

It didn’t make sense to me either considering the criteria for small businesses criteria, but in this industry, nothing surprises me anymore. That was the rumor floated by the individual who informed my group of the protest filing.

It’s unfortunate about Paragon. It’s such a great company to work for. I really feel like there’s a lot of integrity with this company.

No award has been given to anyone, all three have the contract thru 12/31/2022. The protest is a pre-award protest which both DCSA and the GAO must account for by 11/1/2022. If anyone tells you they’ve won the contract it’s a lie and you can assume what the company will be like to work for. Good luck!

Well, its TITANIC 2 all over again for me. It’s just a matter of time. If in fact Paragon doesn’t get the contract then I think layoffs will start early next year just like GDIT did in 2020. UGH.

Can anybody explain why a company would keep actively hiring if they know they have lost the contract?

Because they have not lost the contract. It hasn’t been awarded yet. I for one am still rooting for Paragon. This is the only vendor where I have had a quality of life and was not just seen as a source unit machine. I’ve done the USIS and Peraton/Keypoint and Paragon by far has been the best. The thought of going back to the assembly line at the processing plant makes me sick.

2020? That 2019 disaster though…

I got told from a friend who’s a fi at Paragon they DID lose the initial award, but are putting in a rebuttal against it, details on the rebuttal not known.

As someone mentioned earlier in the string it was a pre-award protest, unless the FI has some inside information.

Well that would be incorrect.

Idk. It’s just what I was told. I have emails/messages flying in on every platform from pera and para and who knows at this point :woman_shrugging:

Paragon has been a very good company and its a crying shame they are being treated like this. Maybe paragon wasnt aware of the unspoken pay to play secret handshake thats been part the BI contract awards from 1996 to present.

Pay to Play??? They were all given the same guidelines and criteria for the contracts. So, two of them met the qualifiers and one didn’t? I’m glad Paragon is fighting for their survival. Sounds like most are happy with Paragon. Will be interesting to see how it all falls out.

the contract is not lost. Work is still coming in that needs to be done and can only be done if they have people to do it.

If i have to explain it then it’s better if you don’t know.
