Timeline 2024 Thread

Not vesper, but i believe we (vesper and I) are very similar in our timeline/experiences.

I am out of state. After you schedule your appointments, you should get an email confirmation. In that confirmation it says about 2 weeks prior to your visit, you will receive another email that lists out the travel process.

Basically, you will follow up with the travel agency they use to coordinate your flight and hotel. You give them some basic info, they will book it all for you. You just have to show up.

Thank you! Did they mention anything to you about your investigation or is that still going on? I was told my poly was after the background was done, but they haven’t said anything about my background.

I haven’t heard anything official about my investigation since answering a few follow up questions from my investigator a few days after we met. I know most of my contacts have already been interviewed. I’m assuming that the investigation is finished up, but they don’t tell you anything. At least I haven’t heard anything, not even a followup from my recruiting poc, last I heard from them was several months ago now.

Have you had your interview yet? I assume you have?

I have not. I have been in the IC for awhile though, so I don’t know if they plan on contacting me. It’s basically a reinvestigation.

ohh ok, well yeah your situation might be different. All I know is, I take whatever they say with a huge grain of salt. I’m in the process at another IC agency as well, and that one told me the BI process was after Medical/Poly/Psych…But yet I have already had my BI interview and several references contacted before even going to those appointments.

Definitely. I am not in a huge rush to move yet and have a great gig right now as a contractor, just want to go federal for more security. My kids are just starting school though so I am content to wait a bit.

I hear ya! Similar boat with the moving and kids situation. I would like to just obviously know the outcome already of this entire process lol.

Can you share a bit more about Psych/medical process, in terms of content, tests, etc. Hope you have cleared by now!

@MaybeFutureICGuy what your experience was like with psychological evaluation? The nature of assessment, etc. I am scheduled for NSA psychological in September and was wondering.

I contacted my recruiter at the 3 letter agency the other day. She finally got back to me said she was going to reach out for an update and get back to me…that was 7 days ago. My investigation was completed in early April and I passed the third poly in early June. Who knows what’s going on now.

Is this position with a 3 letter agency in MD?

Congrats!!! Hopefully im not too far behind. Do you have an EOD? Curious to know how far out they give you.

It went well, i was told i passed. So now I just wait to hear back from the clearance gods, i guess.

Welcome to the club. Haha

I wanted the earliest time possible, and so my EOD is Sept. 23rd, I think they also wanted to process me before the end of the fiscal year. But, I didn’t really inquire into further out dates, so I don’t know how long it can be extended for. Hopefully you hear back sooner than later.

Congrats! Any insights into psychological testing (type of tests, exams, etc). Thanks!

This is incredibly fast. May I ask what agency?
