Timeline 2024 Thread

How long after you submitted transripts, etc. to HR did you receive your CJO?

Not really, it’s a relatively straightforwards process. Just answer the question you’re asked, honestly and thoroughly.

I would guess, same as yours, given previous comments.

There were a few weeks of sending forms back and forth, maybe a month?

What agency, or state?

Good to know, thanks!

Thank you for sharing your experience!

A bit over 500 days now, yay?

I’ve officially been in the “adjudication phase” for 4 combined years this week :'>

Just speedran this entire thread and I’ll share where I’m at currently:

TS / SCI + FSP with the IC

11/1/23 — applied for role
11/8/23 — interview
12/5/23 — CJO extended
12/20/23 — Received link to SF86
1/4/24 — Completed and submitted SF86
2/1/24 — SF86 kicked back for updates
2/5/24 — SF86 resubmitted and approved
5/1/24 — Received link to schedule psych/eval
8/6/24 — Psych + Poly (poly inconclusive)

  • Psych gave me a mental health form to fill out and said process won’t move until that’s returned

8/7/24 — Poly again (passed!)

This is the current state of my processing. My poly examiner said the next step would be adjudication but prob need to get that form filled out before they’ll touch my file. I will also note that I am not sure if I should expect to be investigated. I went through the process in 2022 and I think completed the full BGI but I left the process before adjudication, but the p-graph examiners told me that the investigation was in my record so maybe they might re-use it

Kinda weird but I am also undergoing a DCSA Secret clearance for my current job. I don’t know if they’re passing info back and forth but when I met with my FSO who showed me my file in DISS, I didnt really see any information from the IC clearance.

For this one,

7/11/24 – Received link to SF86 on eApp
7/12/24 – Submitted SF86, submitted fingerprints
8/5/24 – Called from investigator, requesting interview
8/9/24 – Interview with investigator (just went over forms)

Sounds like MD agency, congrats on passing the poly. I was up there a week before you.

@RandomMan @xXGunner989Xx

I’m at the exact same point as you two, but finished a few weeks earlier. The waiting period now is the worst, exacerbated by the uncertainty of what’s going on with the agency’s hiring right now.

Ugh, good to know but very frustrating. Hopefully the freeze or pause or whatever only affects those trying to enter the pipeline.

Yup, passed and now waiting like you and @eternally_waiting

Fun fun!

Don’t forget me! I’m in the same boat.

Yes! Sorry friend, had a brain fart. Several of us playing the waiting game. I’m hoping at least one of us gets good news soon, then the rest of us will know we are inching closer.

What kind of position did you apply to? Engineering? Linguist? Something else?

I totally missed this post, and assuming we’re going for the same agency, this timeline inspires a bit of confidence that maybe they’re not on a total hiring freeze/pause. I hope to hear back from them soon.

withdraw your app and submit a brand new one? New app, new BI, new adjudicators?

It’s a research position, don’t really know much past that of course. Definitely not a total freeze, might just be some bureaucratic slowdown due to end of fiscal year soon? Can’t pretend I understand why I heard back sooner.

Well, mostly. I lost the first job over 5 years ago because my clearance was taking too long. That case was still pending adjudication until 2021. They put it in AdW at that time because it didn’t get canceled like it was supposed to. Then I got a new job last year that needed clearance, so they had to adjudicate both. New BI, two cases to judge, with history going back to 2007. It’s been a trip.

All for DOD T3 eligibility, no access. :joy:
