6 polys is wild. I’m curious how you get told you fail then they’re like actually nah ur good. Hopefully they are looking to pick candidates off this list since they’ve already put you through months of procedure and spent all those resources
To be fair, I had 3 conditionals and took 2 for each. She flat out told be at the end that I was either getting dropped or was going to come back for another. Glad she was wrong lol
Adjudication sucks everywhere honestly. Some people can do it faster than others, but it depends. The first polygraph I got (CI only) took more than a month to adjudicate and I was already cleared.
I saw your post on Reddit as well. What grade were you going to be coming in at? And were you going to be at HQ? I can send you a PM there if you don’t want to answer here.
First time applying for a national security job here. And I got a few questions… Maybe some OGs can help me out on these.
-My background: DoD contractor with TS. The case initialed back in mid May 2024. I had my subject interview back in July. It has been radio silence since then.
Last time I checked with my security officer in early October, I was notified that there is no change on my status.
What does this mean? Does an update on my case means I am going from uncleared to cleared status? Or it means my case will move from investigation to adjudication? Is it possible for my security offer to check the process for candidates?
By mid November, it will be the six-month mark, should I reach out to my security officer regularly? (Maybe monthly?) I understand this process is lengthy. What is the frequency for security officer to check status for their candidates?
One of my references was contacted last week and the email stated the interview had an urgent timeline - any chance this means my investigation is on a clock or deadline soon?
My investigator told me they had two weeks to complete my part. Once they finished, they submitted the document. The second investigator contacted me the day after I knew it was submitted and called me. They focused on specific contact with each reference and had to complete it within the two-week frame as well. I was quick with them; they texted me, and whatever they needed, I found it for them, stat. Ha.
It depends on your background. My DoD T3 just took a year and 7 months to get adjudicated.
No change means no movement yet on your status. You can ask your security team which status it’s currently in if you’re worried. My investigation was closed for 4 months and it took a CSR to get them to mark it completed and put in the adjudication line. Checking every day may be too much, I checked roughly every 3 months or when my manager asked.
